I really like Almay's eye color specific eyeliners, both pencil and liquid.
The pencils have a nice consistency and gorgeous multi-tonal colors, but do fade by the end of the day.

I feel like it's the best of both worlds - you get long-lasting, intense color that stays put pretty well, but if you make a mistake, it's not hard to smudge into place with a Q-tip or your finger

Lancome adaptive all day skin balancing makeup spf 10 Omorovicza mineral-rich skin care from Budapest

I have no idea how Omorovicza sounds like but I now have a sense of how it feels like, having tried some of their products, in particular the Omorovicza Reviving Eye Cream. This is marketed as a natural, anti-aging skin care range that leverages on the mineral-rich, healing thermal waters in Budapest via a patented delivery system known as Mineral Cosmetology. The first thing I found lancome adaptive all day skin balancing makeup spf 10 out while reading about this brand is that there are more thermal water sites in Budapest than any other city in the world and because the earth’s crust is thinner there, and so the waters absorb the beneficial minerals more effectively. So what you have in the Omorovicza range are products that can effectively penetrate our skin with their minerals and trace elements found in Hungarian thermal waters. And apparently, this brand has gained a cult following amongst celebrities.

Best sellers
The Omorovicza range was launched in 2006 and looking at the steep price points, is definitely considered a luxurious anti-aging range. I haven’t come across this brand until the company contacted me and asked if I was interested to review their products. Since I have no idea what to try, I asked about their best sellers and was told that the Thermal Cleansing Balm, followed by the Reviving Eye Cream and the Queen of Hungary Mist were their star products. I picked the Omorovicza Reviving Eye Cream because I wanted something I could use both in the day and night as the one I was using at that time could only be used at night.

Omorovicza Reviving Eye Cream US$135

Ingredients: Aqua (Hungarian Thermal Water), Glycerin, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Squalane, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Stearyl Heptanoate, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Distillate, Hellianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Alfalfa (Lucern) Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Mannitol, Yeast Extract, Zinc gluconate, Magnesium aspartate, Copper gluconate, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Laminaria Digitata Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Pectin, Chlorella Vulgaris/Lupinus Albus Protein Ferment, Hydrolyzed Hazelnut Protein, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Prunus Domestica (Plum) Seed Extract, Malpighia Punicifolia (Acerola) Fruit Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Xanthan Gum.

Product description
The Omorovicza Reviving Eye Cream is said to help lift and firm the eye contour, whilst refreshing tired eyes, reducing puffiness and eliminating dark circles. Key ingredients include Arnica to reduce puffiness, Vitamin K, from lucernoil, to diminishe lancome adaptive all day skin balancing makeup spf 10 dark circles, cucumber extract to soothe and refresh the eye contour and hazelnut peptide to firm and lift, minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Packaging
The 0.5 fl oz see-through glass bottle is quite small but should last a couple of months since I don’t need to use a lot for my eye area. The packaging is simple and I like the locking mechanism found in the pump bottle.

Texture and application
I started using this product sometime end of November and because I wanted to be fair to this product, so I stopped using whatever eye product I was using then. The interesting thing I found when I started using this eye cream is the tingling sensation on my skin as soon as I apply this. In fact, the tingling sensation still happens now. So that convinced me somewhat that the product is penetrating into the deeper layers of my eye area. There is no redness after application and the eye area is soothed and feels comfortable. Although called an eye cream, the texture of this product is not thick and creamy and so I applied without any worries about developing milia seeds.

After effects
For the price point and the fact that this is one of their best sellers, I would really love to rave about this product but I can’t. It soothes and refreshes all right but I do not see noticeable effects in improving the other aspects of my eye area after using this for about a month now. This could be one of those products that take a longer while to work for me as I’ve come across instances where I need three to five months before an eye product delivers any visible results for my delicate eye area.

Other products
On top of the eye cream, the company also sent me some sachets of their other products to try.  Amongst these, I tried the Omorovicza Rose lancome adaptive all day skin balancing makeup spf 10 Lifting Serum, the Omorovicza Rejuvenating Night Cream and the Omorovicza Instant Plumping Cream. I can’t say too much about the results because I’ve only tried them once or twice but in terms of texture, they all worked very well for me as in there were no excessive greasiness and I did not break out using them. But looking at the prices, I’m unlikely to purchase the range. I’ll be more than happy to be gifted with the items though. Heh. And I certainly will have no complaints if my skin was treated to the range of products at a spa as I understand that the Omorovicza range is also used by some spas for treatments around the world.

Availability
Apart from Hungary, the Omorovicza range of luxurious skin care products are available in countries including US, UK, Canada, India, Indonesia Hong Kong, and even Singapore at Wen Lux Spa located at 6 Bukit Pasoh Road.  To find out where to get the products in the other countries, look up details on their international website.

Maybelline unstoppable mascara Share: do you often rest your face on your hands?

Hey VivaBellas, are you daydreaming on your desk or your bed? Or maybe taking time to plan maybelline unstoppable mascara ahead for 2011? Well, if you are, let’s do a quick check: do you have any of your hands rested on your chin, on one side of your face or maybe both sides while doing so? Or maybe you’re so comfortable that you’re about to fall asleep on one of your hands even?

Well, if you’ve got this habit of resting your face on your hands or should I say propping your face with your hands, then one advice I have for you moving on to 2011 is, kick this habit in the new year. Why? Well, whatever you’re doing is causing that part of your face to be inevitably pressed and in the long run, may affect the face shape or worst, cause wrinkles to form or lines to deepen.

And I said MAY only because I’m speaking from my own experience. Like the first top left picture, I had this habit of resting my left hand on my left cheek while thinking in the past and guess what. I noticed that I have some fine lines near the nasolabial groove on that side of the face. There could be other factors contributing to those lines but I’m pretty sure my hand had a part in it.

So tell me, do you have this habit?

Alexandra de markoff countess isserlyn loose powdermist Neeta’s Herbal Ayuvedics hair loss treatment

“It is foolish to tear one’s alexandra de markoff countess isserlyn loose powdermist hair in grief, as though sorrow would be made less with baldness.” So said great Roman orator, Marcus Tullius Cicero. Well, I can’t agree more. So I’m quite sure he would have agreed with me that it is good to seek more hair when one is presented the opportunity just in case one becomes excessively grieved. Like I did when I was invited to try this natural Ayurvedic solution to hair loss at Neeta’s Herbal Hair Loss Centre that specializes solely in treating hair loss & promoting hair growth. I definitely can do with more hair on my crown!

First outlet in Singapore
I was told Neeta’s Herbal has been around for 26 years with outlets in USA, UK, Malaysia, India, Iran, Dubai, Brunei, Australia and this is the first outlet in Singapore, operating since March this year at Novena Square 2. Lydia, who is a senior flight stewardess with Emirates Airlines, decided to open the outlet here after benefiting from the products and treatments herself. And what prompted me to accept her invitation was because I was keen to understand more about hair growth using ancient Ayuvedics principals and natural herbal products.

Laid-back ambience
Neeta’s Herbal Hair Loss Treatment Centre is conveniently located at Novena Square 2. It’s a no frills treatment centre that reminds me of a high-end barber shop. In fact, I thought I was transported back to the 80s with the music selection playing on the background while I was receiving my treatment. The interior isn’t what I would describe as cozy but the dim walls definitely made me real sleepy throughout the treatment session. ZZZzzzz…

A 4-step treatment process
I was briefed on the treatment process and also had my scalp analyzed via a computerized scanner. Then I proceeded with the Ozone treatment, which involved a high frequency machine sending some electric shocks to my scalp. Okay, it sounds a little scary but the sensation is very mild and this treatment is meant to “wake” the follicles by improving the blood circulation on my scalp. This process will prepare the scalp to receive the special blend of Neeta’s Herbal Hair Oil, which was thoroughly massaged on my scalp for a few minutes before following on with steaming to ensure the penetration of the hair oil into the follicles. After the steaming, my hair was treated to Neeta’s Herbal Amla Hair Mask before proceeding for the final shampoo and blow dry.

No frills after treatment
The entire treatment lasted about two hours and half the time, I was dozing off. But although dozing off, I was aware of what was done to my hair of course. The entire treatment was pleasant for me except for the shampoo session. I didn’t like the way the therapist handled my head to wash the sides of my hair; she wasn’t rough or anything but I’m just not used to that sort of hair wash method. The blow dry was really just a blow dry as it came with no styling that we expect from the usual hair alexandra de markoff countess isserlyn loose powdermist salons. I was told by Lydia that this is because they do not wish to damage customers’ hair with extensive blow-drying and hence, all hair are blown dry naturally with minimum heat.

Hair follicles unclogged after treatment
My scalp was scanned again after the entire treatment and I was happy to see that there was a marked improvement to my scalp condition. Before the treatment, I could see my follicles slightly clogged and oozing with oil even though I had just shampooed my hair that morning. After the treatment, I could see the unclogged follicles clearly and even some of the semi-closed follicles, meaning there is hope that I can get new hair growth from them.

My overall assessment
I’ll say Neeta’s Herbal Hair Loss Treatment Centre isn’t your upmarket sort of hair treatment salons; so don’t go there expecting anything luxurious or pampering. But based on the one-time result I received, I think this place is for those serious about treating their hair loss issues via natural products. You probably will see some improvement to your scalp condition after the first treatment but it’s more realistic to expect hair growth after a few sessions.

Price and promotion for Viva Woman readers
The usual price for the treatment I received is S$99 but Lydia has offered a promotional price for alexandra de markoff countess isserlyn loose powdermist my readers at $79 for the 1st trial. You can continue to enjoy the $79 nett per session when you sign-up for their *Full Package* or *Maintenance Package*. In my case, I was told that I can sign up for the maintenance package if I like as the full package is recommended for those with severe hair thinning or conditions of Alopecia Areata.

Neeta’s Herbal Hair Loss Treatment Centre is located at Novena Square 2 #B1-132, and you can visit their website for further details.

Have a very Dressy Merry Christmas everyone!

Anyone wearing a polka red dot dress tied with a red grosgrain ribbon for X’mas? Well, I’m not but I found this Origami folded dress version in card version from Maranda, an online store that makes one-of-a-kind handmade paper creations. I thought it’s such a cutie and a nice way to wish all my readers a Merry Christmas here!

Before I go, just wanted to share a modified X’mas joke with you.

One of my readers climbed onto Santa’s lap and Santa asked “What would you like for Christmas lovely one?” My reader stared at him in horror and then said: “Didn’t you get my letter?”
(Poor reader. Blame it on the slow postal service k?)

So what did that reader asked in the letter? The Lenovo U160 Ideapad! The good news for this reader is while Santa didn’t answer your wish but I can! How? Just participate in the Lenovo What’s Your Idea Of Fun Finale Giveaway hosted here. And since the postal service is so slow and a number of you have written privately to me complaining so, let me then extend the deadline by a few more days *wink* till the midnight of 31 Dec 2010, Singapore time.

Have a fun time with your loved ones, dearies! Remember to snap and post pictures!

Cosmetic foundation Share: what’s your nail color for this X’mas?

Am I having a blue X’mas or what? Yeah, but only on my nails! *wink* There is already so much red during this festive period and so I thought I’ve do cosmetic foundation with some interesting contrast via this navy blue Anna Sui nail color from my stash. Actually when I received this nail color in my goodie bag, it looked more like a purple blue to me. But now that I’ve applied on my nails, it’s looking more navy blue. Definitely a pretty color!

Lovely rose scented nail polish
Anyway, this is the first time I’m using Anna Sui nail color and I have to say I’m liking the rose scent much. It’s definitely better than the usual nail lacquer fume! But because it smells good, I have to stop myself from sniffing my nails too often as I’m not sure it’s a healthy idea. Maybe I should just keep this color on my toenails as sniffing them would be quite a challenging feat – challenging for me to bend over to sniff them and challenging for me to bring up my feet to smell them all the time!

Anna Sui Holiday Collection nail polish colors
Besides this navy blue, you can also find holiday pink, sparkle gold, carnival orange and carnival clear in the Anna Sui Holiday Collection of nail colors. And they are retailing at S$24 each.

So ladies, are you wearing any nail colors this X’mas? And what is the color on your nails?

Are you blending away your mineral sunscreen?

I had a question for myself recently while I was applying my makeup: did I just apply away my sunscreen? Okay, this sounds like a trivia question but well, for a skincare fanatic when it comes to the area of sun protection, nothing is too trivia eh?

I use a mineral sunscreen a.k.a physical sunblock containing Zinc Oxide and because Zinc Oxide and or Titanium Dioxide in a mineral sunscreen is meant to sit on top of our skin to deflect the UVA and UVB rays, it is thus better to leave them “undisturbed” after application. However, many of us do apply some powder or foundation over our face after our sunscreen application and so what makeup tools are better to be used after that – a brush, a sponge, a puff, or fingers? And what should we do to minimize disturbance of the sunscreen?

Using fingers
I know some ladies like to apply their makeup with their fingers. In this case, I would suggest that you dab on rather than blend on so as to minimize rubbing away your sunscreen.

Using sponge
Sponge offers better coverage but I realized that one may tend to use the sponge to blend the foundation on the skin and when that happens, you may actually be blending your mineral sunscreen away. So again, dabbing might be a way to avoid the “disturbance”.

Using powder puff
I actually quite like the idea of puffing powder on my face as that hardly disturbs the layer of sunscreen sitting on my skin. The light puffing action ensures almost no disturbance.

Using brushes
However, most of the time, I use synthetic kabuki brushes to apply my face powder, whether it is a mineral foundation or a compact foundation. The soft bristles seem to ensure that I barely need to disturb my mineral sunscreen that I’ve applied on the face. However, I think it really depends on the pressure that one applies although I usually apply with a light hand and so the disturbance should be minimal.

What about chemical sunscreen?
While I’ve kept my discussion to only usage of mineral sunscreen, you can also apply the same tips when using a chemical sunscreen although the latter work by absorbing the sun’s rays and should be the first thing you apply on your skin even before using an additional moisturizer. However, because mineral sunscreens need to form an external barrier on your skin and hence, it is more important not to rub or blend them away since they’re the last of the skincare products you apply before your makeup.

Applying makeup about 10 mins after using a sunscreen
But whether you are using a mineral sunscreen or a chemical sunscreen, it is actually best to let your sunscreen sit and settle on your skin for a few minutes before applying your makeup. If you can afford the time, 10 minutes or slightly longer is good.

Bio a+o.e. sebum regulating hair care products

You know the saying “when it rains, it pours”? Yeah. It’s literally been pouring on my head because I’ve been testing tons of new hair products of late. But despite having many new shampoos and conditioners, I still can’t resist testing new ones and these are the latest hair care products I’ve been using daily for almost two weeks now. Made in Italy, this Bio a+o.e. hair care range uses organic herbs certified by ICEA or The Institute for Ethical and Environmental Certification, which is based in Bologna. The range has been brought in by Naturelova, an online store based in Singapore retailing certified organic products. And as part of their marketing campaign, the company sent me the Bio a+o.e. Sebum-Regulating BioShampoo & BioCream on a complimentary basis for review.

The products are really quite premium because the price of each shampoo and conditioner is S$48. Besides the Sebum-Regulating range, available in the Bio a+o.e. slate are the Anti-Age range, the Reinforcing range and the Restructuring range.

Bio a+o.e. Sebum-Regulating BioShampoo 250ml S$48

Ingredients: Aqua(Water), Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Sorbitol, Coco-Betaine, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Melissa Officinalis Distillate(Melissa Officinalis Flower/Leaf/Stem Water)*, Xanthan Gum, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Sodium Chloride, Dicaprylyl Ether, Lauryl Alcohol, Profumo(Fragrance), Moringa Pterygosperma Seed Extract, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Lecithin, Potassium Sorbate, Hydrolyzed Rice Protein, Sodium Phytate, Glycerin, Gossypium Oil(Gossypium Herbaceum (Cotton) Seed Oil)

Product description
The Sebum-Regulating range is great for me because I have both fine hair plus greasy scalp and I need a gentle shampoo to wash my hair daily. Described as a gentle shampoo, Sebum-Regulating BioShampoo is also said to restructure and strengthen the hair, as well as reduce sebaceous oil production on the scalp.

Smell and lather
This shampoo smells wonderful. I can’t put my finger to the smell but I really enjoy using this because of the scent as it is refreshing and uplifting. And despite being labelled as organic, this shampoo lathers pretty well.

Results
My hair feels rather clean with one shampoo but I find it more effective if I use a second application. In terms of the second application, I only need a quarter of the original amount. However, I definitely need to use a conditioner to detangle my hair aftewards.

Bio a+o.e. Sebum-Regulating BioCream 150m S$48

Ingredients: Aqua(Water), Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Distearoylethyl Hydroxyethylmonium Methosulfate, Lauryl Alcohol, Candelilla Cera, Polyglyceryl-2 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Dicaprylyl Ether, Lauryl Glucoside, Olus Oil, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Lavandula Angustifolia Extract (Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract)*, Anthemis Nobilis Extract*, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Profumo(Fragrance), Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Tocopherol, Moringa Pterygosperma Seed Extract

Product description
This Sebum-Regulating BioCream works like a coniditoner after shampooing. It is only to be applied along shaft of the hair.

Smell and texture
The smell is a little close to the shampoo but the texture of this BioCream is unlike the conditioners I’ve come across. It looks creamy but the consistency is thinner and more lotion like. With my usual conditioner, I only need to use a pea size amount to condition my hair but with this, I need to use about the size of a 50 cent coin.

Results
My hair does not look weighed down but rather, quite full after a blow dry. It also looks smooth and glossy.

Overall summary
I love the Bio a+o.e. Sebum-Regulating BioShampoo & BioCream. They are really effective in helping to regulate the oil production on my scalp as I noticed that my hair does not look so greasy the morning after. However, I still continue to wash my hair daily. In addition, even though I use much more of the BioCream as compared to when I use my usual hair conditioner, my hair isn’t weighed down. Like I mentioned, my hair actually looks quite full.

The products use active vegetable ingredients to increase circulation, thereby reducing formation of sebaceous oil on the scalp. So I believe long term usage is beneficial. However, the products are rather expensive, considering a set cost S$96. But those who are keen on trying maybe happy to know that the store is currently offering 10% off the range until end of this month. For more information, check out the Festive Promotion section on their website.

Lip gloss makeup Holistic healing Gua Sha face therapy at Geranium

I came to know Grace of Geranium when she was still operating out of a mobile cart at Suntec City. She was also the one who got me interested in the use of essential oils. At that time, I’ve already learnt that she was providing facial service out of her home and hence, it came as no surprise when I later found out that she has set up shop at The Central. What surprised me though is that her holistic healing face therapy is based on Gua Sha, an ancient Chinese therapy that involves scraping the skin to promote blood circulation and removing toxic. I’ve never really had lip gloss makeup my face fully Gua Sha-ed, and so I was gamed for a trial when Grace invited me to a complimentary session.

The venue
Geranium is conveniently located on the 4th level of The Central. It’s a simple, pristine looking setup with minimalist design and one could have easily mistook it for a retail store. Besides essential oils, Geranium also carries the range from Henry Tianus, Dr Hauschka, 100% Pure and Breathe. The two treatment rooms were well hidden from the public eye by the design even though it’s just right in front of the store. In fact, I almost forgot I was there for a facial when I was busy taken pictures of the setup.

The treatment cabin
Each treatment room is of a comfortable size and it didn’t feel cramped or cluttered. Like the shop front, the room is also simply designed and lip gloss makeup has a cupboard to store customer’s belonging. Very importantly, they have a basin and a mirror for the customer to touch up after the session.

The treatment process
I didn’t find out how long the entire Gua Sha Face therapy would take but was surprised to find myself being told to lie face down for a 10-minute back relaxation massage first. I think this must be the the first facial therapy I’ve done with a back massage as a first treatment, rather than in the middle or the last part of the therapy. In any case, I was more than happy as I was suffering from a severe backache then and needed some quick relief. But I wasn’t expecting too much from the back massage as I thought it would be rather normal. Boy, I was wrong! The back massage, which comes complimentary with the face therapy is truly divine for me. The therapist had strong hands and so if you’re the sort who like strong massages, you’ll love this part of the treatment. And it’s not just a hand massage as they incorporated a herbal heat treatment, which I thought really soothed my aches and helped relieve most of the tensions on my back. I actually felt it was longer than the 10 minutes stated!

The facial
After the back massage, the therapist cleansed my face and began the facial therapy. Included in the session was a microdermabrasion treatment, which I found to be rather gentle as it was not using a scrub. In fact, I thought it felt like a lifting suction to me but I noticed that my skin tone looked better after the treatment. On top of a treatment mask, I also received a complimentary Aqua Eye Treatment in the package. Most of the products used were from Henry Tianus, except for the massage oil used during the Gua Sha. That was a house blend using Jojoba oil and Lavender essential oil for me. As for the Gua Sha, it was not painful in case some of you are wondering if it’s so. But that’s because I’ve got a mini Gua Sha tool at home and I sometimes use it on my face. So I already knew how it felt like to have my face scrapped. First timers may need to understand that it’s slightly uncomfortable at the beginning as it’s not the same as finger massage, although it isn’t painful at all.

The therapist
I forgot to find out the name of the therapist but she appeared very well trained and had deft fingers. She spoke in Mandarin to me but I was told she can speak English too. The thing I found very comfortable is that she spoke only when necessary or when asked. I thought it might be because I was reviewing the treatment process but I found out from Grace later that that’s how she has trained her staff to be – speak less and do more. She also does not encourage her staff to hardsell the packages or products to the customers as she would like her customers to have an enjoyable therapy and not be stressed out thinking about how to fend off irksome sales tactics. lip gloss makeup

The results
It was only after the entire treatment was over that I realized that this is a 2-hour therapy. Besides the 10-minutes back massage in the initial stage, there were also some neck and upper chest massage during the treatment. So the time was very well spent. And how did my face look afterwards? Well, it was a little red from the Gua Sha scrapping. So you have to be mentally prepared for that. However, the redness will subside after some time. I noticed that my undereye area looked less puffy but other than that, I can’t see that much difference for my face. It could be because I don’t have very saggy skin to begin with and so the lifting effects was less evident for me. However, my back benefited tremendously as it no longer felt heavy and tight.

Special promotion at S$64 for a 2-hour facial
First time customers to Geranium can enjoy the 2-hour Gua Sha Face Therapy at S$64. The original price of the treatment is S$128. As part of the promotion, you will get a complimentary Aqua Eye Treatment and a 10-minute relaxation massage worth S$60. I actually find the price very worthwhile and Grace told me that customers can continue to enjoy the holistic healing face therapy at S$64 if they sign on for a 6-time package, which means they’ll pay S$384 one time to enjoy the facial six times. Not a bad deal if you ask me! And lip gloss makeup I can say with some certainty that Geranium will not engage in hardsell so if you’re looking for facial therapy based on natural therapy, this is definitely something to consider.

Gua Sha face therapy is suitable for sensitive skin too
Those with sensitive skin might be happy to know that Gua Sha is suitable for your skin type. I understand that many of Geranium’s existing customers actually have sensitive skin. In fact, Grace remarked that more of more people here are reporting to have sensitive skin and I wonder why. But if you do head to Geranium, do remember to ask to look at the chart that shows our reflex zones for internal organs. You’ll definitely find it interesting and informative.

Ultima ii beautiful nutrient nourishing makeup spf 15 A sneak peek at Shinzi Katoh 2011 design shoes

I was feeling real sore that I had to give the Shinzi Katoh Tea Party that was organized by The Little Happyshop a miss due to some last minute hiccups. How could I have missed such a ultima ii beautiful nutrient nourishing makeup spf 15 rare opportunity to meet Japan’s best known Zakka artist and designer right here in Singapore? Oh geez…and seeing the pictures posted on their Facebook page just grieved me even more. (T_T)  Look at these cute Shinzi Katoh design shoes that were on display at the art showcase! Kawaii desu ka?

According to Ruth of The Little Happyshop, these shoes are part of a fabulous 2011 Spring/Summer collection to be launched in Japan and were specially flown in just for the Singapore’s Shinzi Katoh fans!  I rarely wear covered shoes but for these, I would sink my feet in them any time! Don’t you think the pink shoes with the flower on the side look particularly lovely?

You already see a number of Shinzi Katoh design items in some of the bookstores or stationary shops. However, I get the impression that the variety at The Little Happyshop might be wider. Or at least they might be the first to bring in anything new from the label. Like the brand new Shinzi Katoh Tea, which are fragrant tea in lovely Shinzi Katoh design tins. I ordered a bag from the store some time back and was very happy with their service but it was only recently that I re-visited the store. Now I’m regretting that I did not keep a close eye on them because I’ve just missed the pre-order for the Parisienne Bags by Shinzi Katoh. (>.<) So for now I can only wish for a new batch to be available real soon!

Oh will the shoes be available here? Well, Ruth said they're still exploring that possibility so the best way is to keep an eye on the shop if you're keen on them too. (^_-)

Suntegrity holistic sun care from inside out

This is the latest natural sun protection products I’ve been testing, and they were sent to me complimentary from Suntegrity, a company based in US focus on delivering a holistic sun care system from inside out. Altogether, the company has introduced three products; two that you see here plus one for the face. All their sunscreens are chemical-free and have also been rated to be of very low healthy hazard on the EWG Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database.

Non-toxic formulation
Going by the label and ingredient list, the sunscreens are free of parabens, petrochemicals, phthalates, propylene glycol, mineral oils, synthetic dyes, sulfates, paba, titanium dioxide, nano-particles and chemical UV absorbers. In addition, they are also vegan and cruelty free. I was also very pleased to learn that their sunscreens are formulated with 20% non-nano size Zinc Oxide as that is the main ingredient I usually look out for in a mineral sunscreen. However, because both the sunscreens all contain dimethicone, I was only willing to use the one formulated for the body.

Suntegrity All Natural Moisturizing Body Protection SPF30 – 118 ml US$29

Active ingredient: Zinc oxide 20%
Other ingredients: Water (Purified), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Capric Caprylic Triglycerides, Sorbitan Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate, Hexyl Laurate, Jojoba Oil, Cetyl Dimethicone, Dimethicone, Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom Salt), Sunflower Oil, Cucumber Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Tea-Oil Camellia, Pomegranate Oil, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Essential Oil , Citrus Sinensis (Sweet Orange) Essential Oil,Citrus Reticulata Blanco (Tangerine) Essential Oil, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide*, Ethylhexylglycerin* *Paraben-free anti-microbial.

Non greasy formulation with broad spectrum protection
With 20% non-nano Zinc Oxide content, this mineral sunscreen offers broad spectrum sun protection against UVA and UVB rays. I really like how this sunscreen applies and feel on my skin. I apply this on my arms on a daily basis and found that it blends easily and does not leave a visible whitecast on my arms except for the nooks so I just need to ensure I blend the cream properly on those areas. It does look a bit reflective and even feels slightly greasy upon first application, but the greasiness disappears very quickly and I don’t feel any stickiness or oiliness afterwards. The shine also subsides and the skin feels more matte some time after application. And if you’re lover of orange, then you’ll love this mineral sunscreen because it smells exactly like an orange.

Re-apply generously when using it for a swim
Our weather here has been a little unpredictable these days with oppressive heat in the early parts of the days followed by rain. So far, this sunscreen seems to be doing well for me. I haven’t taken it for a swim but if I do, I’ll definitely be applying very generously and also re-applying often. I did note that this one contains some essential oils that are often said to be photosensitive but since they’re all listed at the end of the ingredient list, I’m not so concerned. In addition, I boost my external protection with the Suntegrity Sun Defense Dietary Supplement that you see below and both products work to give me sun protection from inside out.

Suntegrity Sun Defense Dietary Supplement with Vit D3 – 60 cap US$35

Ingredients: Vitamin D3, Vitamin E, Proprietary Blend (Polypodium Extract, Astaxanthin, Reishi, Hu Zhang, Blueberry, Cranberry, Grape Seed, Grape Skin, Beta-carotene, Lutein)

Suntegrity Sun Defense is said to be an all natural, vegan supplement that contains some of the most powerful anti-oxidants in supporting the body’s healthy defense against UV damage and various other health conditions. It contains no starch, sugar, corn, soy, wheat, dairy or excipients/fillers so most people without medical problems should find it safe to consume.

Sun protection boost from within
Some of you may remember that I was taking Heliocare for awhile before I stop because I’m now taking an all-in-one supplement. When it comes to sun defense supplements, the truth is, the results are not evident immediately unless you use it before heading out to be scorched under the sun. Because I always avoid the sun, so I made my husband take this before his swim and noticed that he did not emerge darker aftewards. He was using his usual sunscreen (not from Suntegrity) and that offered him his usual external protection. I think this product is particular good for those living under western climate because it incorporates vitamin D and will help negate the issue of a deficiency due to over protection from using a sunscreen.

Overall summary
The Suntegrity sun protection products are great for those looking for a mineral sunscreen without the chemical UV absorbers. The sunscreen is not heavy and doesn’t feel greasy and yet, is able to provide broad spectrum protection because of the 20% Zinc Oxide content. This, plus the Suntegrity Sun Defense Dietary Supplement would offer a holistic sun care protection from inside out. And I’ll add that cost is very reasonable. I would have tried the face protection mineral sunscreen if not for the fact that it contains dimethicone as that is an ingredient I try to avoid on my face. Actually, I suspect the texture is close to the body protection sunscreen as the ingredients appear rather close. Perhaps someone has already tried it and is willing to share their testimony with us here?

More information about Suntegrity are available on their website.

Benefit makeup DIY Beauty: blend makeup with your moisturizer?

Moisturizer is a necessity for many women. Even though I prefer facial oil, I do use moisturizer benefit makeup on some days. Recently, I’ve even been stretching my moisturizer to get more out of it. How? Well, by blending it with my makeup! And I believe a number of you already know how. *wink*

Moisturizer + Mineral Powder = Tinted Moisturizer
I started mixing my moisturizer with some mineral makeup foundation powder because I thought that would offer me a better coverage. While I do like the look with tinted moisturizer but since I don’t use it often enough, it makes no sense for me to purchase one. DIY is easy and I definitely got more mileage out of my powder and my moisturizer with an improved coverage.

Moisturizer + Eyeshadow = Cream Eyeshadow
While I was at it, I also tried mixing my moisturizer with my eyeshadow. I was using a cream eyeshadow from Paul & Joe for awhile and found them to be rather long lasting. So I thought it’ll be fun to mix my favorite colors to my moisturizer to get a cream shadow of my own, which I apply using a brush. It’s even possible to get a new funky shade by mixing two or more colors together.

Moisturizer + Blush Powder = Cream Blusher
Blusher is not something I use often but Jo of Lolita taught me how to mix it with a moisturizer to get a cream blusher, which I can apply under my powder. I thought that’s a pretty subtle and natural way to add some rosy colors to my cheeks.

Lip Balm + Blush Powder = Lipstick
Other than moisturizer, you can also use your lip balm to mix with benefit makeup your blush powder to make a new lipstick shade. In fact, I wrote about customizing your own lipstick in one of my DIY posts before. However, I’ve subsequently learnt from some readers as well as Jo that we must use lip safe colorants. So make sure your blusher powder is safe to be used for this purpose. Typically, Carmine, Ferric Ferrocyanide and Ultramarines are not lip safe. The last two ingredients are rather dark and I doubt we have them in most blush powder anyway. As for Carmine, it depends on the individual. I know I have no issues with it though.

Mix per application
Try experimenting in small quantities. For picture sake, I’ve mixed all colors into little containers you see here but in reality, I mix the color onto my palm for each application because it’s less messy that way for me and I don’t have to think about storage. And don’t use too much of the powder so that the mixture would not be too drying.

Your say
So do you mix your makeup with your benefit makeup skin care products? Do you like the idea? Personally, I like the idea of using my DIY tinted moisturizer but for the rest, it’s more like something I’ll do once in a while just for the fun as it does take up a bit of time if I were to do this every day!

Maybelline wet shine wet look nail color 0 5 oz Get your custom blend mineral makeup at Lolita

I had some fun on Sunday visiting Lolita at Marina Square, a makeup store that specializes in custom blend mineral foundation and makeup. I think this store will intrigue a number of you who have had problems getting your foundation to match your skin color. In fact, I learnt that maybelline wet shine wet look nail color 0 5 oz many of us tend to “force” our skin tone to suit the makeup color when we should really be paying for makeup that suit our skin tone.

Investigation of ingredients led to a custom blend shop concept
Actually, I’ve kind of lost interest in mineral makeup. Those of you who have followed this blog for awhile know that I was raving about mineral makeup some time back. However, since suffering an allergy using one of them, I stopped experimenting so much with them. Jo, the Chief at Lolita can emphatize with my concerns and this is what she wrote when she first contacted me via email:

Few years ago, I followed the big craze on mineral makeup and frequently ordered from USA online. I introduced my girlfriends to the makeup and when one maybelline wet shine wet look nail color 0 5 oz day a girlfriend asked me why did a natural makeup caused her more breakouts. I went to google and found out that a few ingredients were mentioned as irritants in your blog. Light dawned on me and I started to investigate every ingredients in my own makeup. As I got more into the mineral makeup, I learnt more and more through several sources… Finally, I set up an online shop selling custom blend mineral makeup and now a real brick and mortar shop at Marina Square.

Custom Blend Foundation
I think all of you will agree that getting the right foundation color is important. Because most makeup are mass produced, so we can only purchase according to the limited options given. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. So Jo’s rationale for offering custom blend mineral makeup is that users not only have the option of getting makeup that suit their skin tone, they can also pick and choose ingredients according to their skin type. Another plus point is they will custom blend foundations that do not cake or oxidize after a few hours of usage.

Blended according to skin types without irritants
According to her, every skin is different and no one makeup product can be suitable for everyone’s unique skin type. Hence, Lolita work to formulate the makeup foundation from scratch for each customer. “No harmful and useless ingredients added to save cost in a mass production. Just a raw mixture of what your skin needs”. The cards were all laid down for me when I was introduced to their products. Nah, not gambling cards but these coastal like cards that users can pick according to their skin type or needs. Interesting right?

Custom blend eyeshadow and blush
Besides the mineral foundation, Lolita also offers customization for eyeshadows, blushers and lip balms. All these can be blended to suit our skin tone and so it’s truly customized in the personal sense. And one interesting point Jo raised was that we can also concoct our own unique eyeshadows with zinc oxide as one of the key ingredients as that would offer our eye area some amount of sun protection. I don’t know if I need that since I’m already getting protection from my sunscreen and the foundation powder but it’s definitely a noteworthy suggestion.

Custom blend lip balm using lip sale blusher
I was told that my lip color didn’t suit my skin tone and I think so because I’m the sort who do not care very much for lip colors. I tend to go for dark colors and truly, I think such colors dull my complexion too. So it was nice to know that I can also get a custom blend lip balm, which interestingly uses lip maybelline wet shine wet look nail color 0 5 oz safe blusher as the colorant. And what works for me seems to be a lighter pink shade.

My 100% matched custom blend foundation
So this is my custom blend foundation, concocted to my exact shade and according to my skin requirements of having better oil control, moisture, dewy glow and some sun protection. I learnt through the entire process that the key to achieving the right foundation color is really to play with the right color correctors. I know something of that but I hadn’t realized that it is actually possible to mix all the correctors.

Before and after
The first picture shows the left half of my face with the blended foundation and the second picture shows the completed look. The ‘After’ picture appears pink probably due to the lighting in the shop but in reality, it was matching my skin tone. In the course of the makeup, Jo taught me several makeup enhancement tricks using the color correctors and I learnt that these tricks are all imparted to all their customers to get the most out of the products purchased.

Friendly, personalized service
These are the lovely ladies at Lolita, who will offer you personalized service on top of creating custom blend makeup for you. They’re as warm and friendly as you see them here. I thought the name Lolita is kind of cheeky and Deidre explained that it’s really meant to define both the girl and the woman inside us. There’s even a definition printed on one of their walls – it is a state of mind that liberates the girl inside a woman looking for that eternal youth, evokes the woman in a girl who aspires to exude her feminine charm. Well, a bit wordy there but we’re definitely for eternal youth yay?

Prices of custom blend makeup
I spent some time at the shop talking to the ladies but I was told that it should take around 20 to 30 minutes for them to custom blend a foundation for a customer, including showing her how to use the makeup. Since it is customized according to skin tone and needs, the cost of the foundation is higher at S$58.90 for 10 grams worth of powder. The customized eye shadow is S$17.90 each; blusher is S$24.90 each, lip balm is S$12.90 each, color correctors at S$19.90 each, touch up powder is maybelline wet shine wet look nail color 0 5 oz $29.90 each and finishing powder is S$48.90 each.

Eyelash extension service
Additionally, the shop also offers eyelash extension service providing natural looking lash based on a healthy lash extension system from Novalash USA. The first trial is S$89 and customers who take on the lash extension service can even get S$28 off their custom blend foundation.

Location
Lolita is located at 6 Raffles Boulevard #B1-12 Marina Square (direct access from Esplanade Exchange). You can also contact them at 6338 9981 or SMS 9683 7339 to find out more.

Charles of the ritz powderful lipstick Do foam free shampoos work at all?

I was having a discussion with my hairstylist recently and we both concluded that foam free shampoos don’t cleanse our hair too well. My hairstylist has a bit of an oily scalp condition like mine so he can commiserate with my gripe that some naturally formulated shampoos just can’t cut the grease out of my hair. In fact, he is against using shampoos that do not foam as he said that charles of the ritz powderful lipstick such shampoos can cause more grease buildup, which in turn will cause our hair follicles to be blocked over time and eventually leading to hair loss.

Why the need for foam?
Okay, let’s be honest and admit: many of us find that shampoos that produce a copious, lubricious and dense amount of foam cleanse our hair better. The foaming does a better job of removing all dirt and grime. Is it psychological? Maybe. While I do try to avoid using shampoos containing caustic cleansing agents such as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and its close relative Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), but I really need my shampoo to produce foaming suds. My experience with shampoos that do not foam is – neither do they cleanse that well even after a second wash. And while those that foam little can cleanse my scalp, but they usually leave my hair looking rather limp and lacking in volume.

What are the alternatives to SLS and SLES?
Actually, even though most naturally formulated do not contain SLS or SLES, they do contain other foaming agents that are often said to be milder because they are derived from coconut oil, corn or sugar. Examples include:
- Sodium Coco Sulfate
- Sodium Larylglucosides Hydroxypropylsulfonate
- Sodium Trideceth Sulfate
- Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate
- Disodium Coco-Glucoside Tartrate
- Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate
- Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate
- Disodium Cocoamphodiacete
- Cocamidopropyl Betaine natural coconut oil
- Decyl Glucoside
- Coco Glucoside
- Yucca Foaming Extract
- PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate

I haven’t researched into each individual ingredient but these are not totally natural and neither are they safer as some of them show up with rather high hazard ratings at EWG. I also find that some naturally formulated shampoos actually contain a few of these surfactants and so it makes me wonder how much gentler are they compared to a shampoo that uses only one surfactant, even if it is SLS or charles of the ritz powderful lipstick SLES. Maybe some of you have better knowledge in terms of these ingredients can share your thoughts.

What about tear free Shampoos?
Many baby shampoos are labeled as tearless because they are created with surfactants that are milder and less likely to cause irritation. In addition, most of these baby formulas are made with a blend of soothing ingredients like aloe vera, calendula, chamomile or even oats. However, not all formulas are equal. Some tearless shampoos foam better than others. I’ve had the unfortunate experience of purchasing one that does not foam and I’m so peeved. And the thing is, I don’t know if I should be peeved with the company or myself because this is the second time they’ve changed the formula and I did not notice. Well, this is what happens when you run into a shop, grab a bottle and pay for it without examining it carefully. But gosh, why do they need to change formulas so often and still call the product by the same name??? And so I say, it is time to move on to a new product!

Cover girl foundation makeup Share: do you provide special care to your neck?

So I’ve been using this GoW Bio-Active Neck Firming Serum purchased through Garden of Wisdom via a spree for two weeks or so now. I know it’s a bit premature to give a full review but going by the comments I read on the forum, others are seeing results in a week and so I think it’s okay that I say something about it now. cover girl foundation makeup

Ingredients to tighten and firm
This is a serum incorporating good stuff like Matrixyl 3000, Kigelia Extract, Panthenol DL, Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid, Niacinimide, and L-Carnosine, amongst others to promote smoother, tighter skin and elasticity. Honestly, other than the stinging, tingling sensation that suggests that this serum is doing something whenever I apply, I haven’t seen any difference yet. The serum doesn’t leave a greasy or sticky residue but it smells quite horrible and reminds me of some Chinese alcoholic medicine. However, I should add that while the smell was quite unbearable initially, I’ve gotten use to it now and the good thing is, it doesn’t linger after the initial application.

Massages and exercises
I’ve never really paid much attention to my neck until these two years because I was told that it doesn’t look good enough. I used to just apply normal facial moisturizer on the area but well, they yielded just normal results. At one stage when I was going for regular facials at True Beauty, Susan gave my neck extra care and massage and so the region improved by leaps and bounds. However, I’ve been less diligent and only go for facials once in two months now so the area hasn’t been receiving sufficient love. Plus, I’ve been preoccupied with other important priorities and have forgotten to kiss the ceiling to firm up my neck. As such, my neck hasn’t been looking its best. I also kept thinking that it will perhaps look better if I fatten up. Heh.

Cover girl foundation makeup 5 tips to apply facial oil for optimum benefits

Because of my frequent mentions regarding my addiction to using facial oils, I’ve received some comments and questions over the application. Some of you have indicated that you find it hard to spread the cover girl foundation makeup oil over your face and hence, I’ve put together some tips on the application of facial oil here.

1. Apply on damp skin to aid spreading
Many have mentioned that they find it hard to spread their facial oil. This is so when your skin is dry. Through experience, I find that it best to apply your facial oil when your skin is slightly damp, either with water or with a facial mist. Note that your skin should not be wet such that the skin cannot hold the oil.

2. Apply sufficiently but moderately
Some users have reported suffering from skin breakouts when they use a facial oil. Perhaps the oil isn’t suitable for them, but perhaps it could also be that they’ve applied way too much. When it comes to facial oils, applying 2 to 3 drops is more than enough. In fact, with some oils like Rosehip, you can even get away with applying just one drop to damp skin as this oil is rather rich.

3. Apply and massage your skin thoroughly
Oil can provide various nutrients and antioxidant benefits to your cover girl foundation makeup skin. However, you need to massage the oil thoroughly into your skin. I use oil on a daily basis and what I do is to drop about 2 to 3 drops into my palm, then rub the oil in between my palms before I press my oiled palms on my face. After that, I will massage the oil delicately into my skin, commencing from the center of forehead before proceeding to my cheeks and other areas of my face. I always use an upward, outward massage motion for about 1 minute until the oil has been absorbed into my skin and there’s no more “oily film”. For the skin around my eyes, I only press my palm lightly but don’t massage the area.

4. Apply a water-based lotion or serum before your facial oil
Because water cannot penetrate oil, hence, in the order of product application, you should apply any water-based lotion or serum under your facial oil. If you use an oil-based moisturizer, then it’s fine to apply it after your facial oil.

5. Apply by mixing your facial oil with your moisturizer
For those who do not like to use cover girl foundation makeup oil neat on their skin, an alternative is to mix one or two drops of the oil into your favorite moisturizer or facial product. Personally, I’ve not tried this because I like to use my products independently to enjoy their full benefits. However, mixing is possible of course. In fact, I often mix oils in my DIY skin care recipes for additional nourishing. Some oils, like emu oil, can be absorbed deeply into our skin and hence, is useful when used with other active ingredients to aid skin penetration. If you don’t want to mix, you can always apply your active ingredient first before applying the emu oil over.

So for other facial oil lovers, do you have other application tips to share with us?

Mary kay eye defining pencil DIY Beauty: A natural bliss hot salt scrub dupe

Remember my review of Bliss Hot Salt mary kay eye defining pencil Scrub? Well, I’m going to show you a dupe of the product using only natural ingredients. It’s not 100% close as in it doesn’t look the same nor feels entirely similar. However, the texture is close enough, the smell is almost equal and the after effects are as good! Best of all, it’s only half the price and it’s all natural!

Easy peasy recipe
I only used three ingredients in this recipe. A packet of organic extra fine sea salt, a bottle of eucalyptus essential oil and some vegetable glycerin. Actually when I was playing with the ingredients, I didn’t make exact measurements so I can’t be too precise here. I didn’t make a big batch, but sufficient to scrub my hands and legs.

Mixture of ingredients
Okay, just based on approximation, I think I used about 3 tablespoons full of salt mixed with 6 tablespoons of glycerin. Just make sure the salt is entirely immersed in the glycerin such that it is thick and wet but not diluted. Then I added about 30 drops of the eucalyptus essential oil and mixed them all up and store in a small bottle you see here.

Like I mentioned, the smell is almost similar and the texture is very close. I guess I can create mary kay eye defining pencil the same look by adding coloring but really, what for? But jolly, this feels hot when I rub on my skin too and boy, my skin felt so silky smooth afterwards. It’s not greasy too compared to another recipe I’ve tried using olive oil. So yeah, A BIG LOVE here!

Use with care
I have no issues with the ingredients but I reckon that the mixture could be too strong for some skin type. So if you want to try this out, please use with care okay? Also, make sure your salt is fine enough and that you do not suffer any cuts when using this or the salt will sting your skin like crazy! Personally, I love using salt over sugar as a body scrub because salt do not attract ants.

And PLEASE, don’t use this on your face!

Leonor Greyl Bain TS Shampoo For Oily Hair

This is another shampoo I received as part of the Urban hair review project. Although it does not give me the desired volume, but Leonor Greyl Bain TS Shampooing being a balancing treatment shampoo for oily scalps and dry ends, works well for my hair condition. I found my hair looking smoother and the ends less frizzy. In addition, I really love the freshing citrus smell whenever I shampoo my hair with this as it comes with lime tree oil. Not overpowering, but uplifting enough!

Leonor Greyl Bain TS is a shampoo specifically adapted for oily hair. On top of the lime tree oil, this shampoo contains the anti-sebum properties of yeast and the anti-perspirant benefits of sage; all these ingredients combine to help purify and cleanse oily scalps. Usually, I find that shampoos formulated for oily scalp to be rather drying for my hair ends but because this one is also formulated with vitamins and plant proteins with conditioning properties, so it actually nourishes and repairs dry ends.

Contains no silicones

Ingredients: Water, Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate (and) Sodium Lauryl Glucoside, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Sodium Lauroyl Oat Aminoacids, Glycereth-2 Cocoate, Cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride, Cocamide Mea, Wheat (Triitcum Sativum) Extract, Polyquaternium-70 (and) Dipropylene Glycol, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Sacchoromyces Cerevisiae Extract, Propylene Glycol, PEG-15 Cocopolyamine, Nelumbium Speciousum Flower Extract, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Iris Florentina Root Extract, Daucus Carota Extract, Fragrance, Tocopherol, Polysorbate 20, Linoleic Acid, Linolenic Acid, Metylchloroisothiazolinone (and) Methylisothiazolinone.

When it comes to shampoos, I’m less particular about the ingredients as long as it is not loaded with silicones. So based on what I can read here, this one does not contain them. It does not contain SLS but it contains the other surfactants and hence, lathers up and foams pretty well.

I actually received a treatment mask with this shampoo but I found it inconvenient to use as I need to leave the mask on my hair for 10 minutes. So I currently use this shampoo with another conditioner.

Overall summary
I won’t say this product keeps my scalp totally greasy free as I noticed my hair looking quite greasy the morning after. However, in the duration of the day that I use it, my hair is still good. Anyway, I wash my hair daily and so this works well because it doesn’t dry out the ends. Although it does not give my hair the desired volume that volume shampoos yield, but it does keep my hair looking full and not limpy.

Price and availability
I understand that the Leonor Greyl line is available at at Tangs Orchard although I haven’t checked it out there. The line is rather premium, considering the 200ml cost S$56 so I’ll probably stretch this out by alternating with other shampoos I have as I’m not ready to spend that kind of money for a shampoo.
